Many positions at Wells Fargo require a degree or certification, but for some roles, it may only be "preferred." Read the job description carefully and provide details on relevant high school courses or if you attended college; describe your program and where you obtained your degree or certificate. If you have more informal, on-the-job training, convey that to the interviewer and explain how your education and training make you a fit for the role.

"Most of my education has been on-the-job training with my current company. They value continued education and have a tuition reimbursement program which I am happy to have taken advantage of. I have taken additional courses in accounting, customer service, and marketing this year. All these courses will help me in this role with Wells Fargo because you are customer service focused while also needing employees who understand banking-related concepts and calculations."

Being a liberal arts major, one of the main focuses throughout my education has been the studies of the humanities. Educating myself on diversity, the appreciation of human uniqueness, the ability to see how people develop and are affected by their surroundings, and where they come from are all huge assets in being a better team member and fine-tuning my customer service skills.

Rachelle's Feedback
You make an interesting and compelling connection between your major and what you do today. Very good answer!

From Rutgers, I have taken a variety of relevant classes, such as financial & managerial accounting and Corporate Finance. From here, I have learned about the different types of derivatives, how to evaluate a company with the three most common procedures, and the types of securities in various capital markets. Presentation-wise, I will provide visuals depicting the information we derive from our analysis activities from my experience using PP and Tableau in my clubs and jobs.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, which is the intensive study of politics and economics. This degree focuses on the relationships of markets, cultures, and government on a global level. My education in market economics provides me with the knowledge and understanding of International Trades, which extends microeconomics to open economies, and International Finance, which covers macroeconomic analysis. I believe my degree and background in Economics will give me the opportunity to advance my career at Wells Fargo to a Financial advisor or Financial Analyst.
