"I have found it to be a best practice that when a customer hands me cash, I always leave it on the counter or set it on top of my drawer while I finish the transaction or count their change. In my past job at Walmart, I had a customer hand me a 50 bill, and I put it down in my drawer, then counted back their change. The customer then said they had given me a 100 bill, and because I had already put it in the drawer, there was no way to prove the situation quickly. I had to get a manager, and we had to balance the drawer to resolve the situation, which took a lot of time. I would follow this same practice with Wells Fargo and would incorporate any other precautions I was taught as well."

"Cash security precautions are extremely important for everyone to be familiar with! I personally always ensure my drawer with cash is locked at all times, and if I have to step away from my station, I take my drawer keys with me. I never allow other employees to use my drawer without balancing it first. I also try to do cash drops or transfers when customers are not in my presence to reduce the risk of distraction or attempts from someone to try and take the money."

Wells Fargo takes the security of its employees and assets seriously. Working with cash and the public can be risky, so they take many security precautions to protect you and the money that you handle. Describe what security measures you take when handling cash. Maybe you count money out of the customer's view, or perhaps you move cash from location to location discreetly. Give examples of ways you practice safe cash handling and give examples if possible.
