Whether you are applying for a leadership role or not, remember their ideal candidates have an interest in furthering their career with them over the long term. They are more interested in driven and ambitious individuals who have identified GSK as an ideal place to work and further their careers. This includes those who are open to growing into leadership positions. However, if you are interested in furthering your career with them, yet that doesn't involve growing into a leadership position, then at the very least, look at it as taking leadership of the development of your career and helping mentor and further along the other members of your team. GSK offers the following advice to their candidates: "Don't be afraid to show your personality. This is the first impression of you, so make it count!" This is good advice. Showing your personality can go a long way, just like when you do live interviews or phone calls. Even though you are talking to the algorithm, you want to imagine speaking to a real person. Try to come across as relaxed as possible, speaking in a level yet enthusiastic tone. Maintain eye contact, and smile softly.

"I would say my leadership style is all about encouraging the development of others by recognizing their strengths and growth opportunities. I do all I can to motivate them to take charge of their development. I do this by working with them, showing them that I care and that I am there to support them, that I am as focused on their development as they should be, and that we celebrate success together. All for one and one for all."
