Why the Interviewer Asks This Question

This question tests how adaptable you are as a professional and whether you would be willing to do whatever it takes to further your career while meeting the needs of the company you take pride in representing. Familiarize yourself with the expectations of the company and the job you are applying for. On their webpage, they suggest that you "outline your suitability, and why this role is right for you at this stage in your career. Use the job description to guide you on the areas you should emphasize." This advice could apply to this question as well. If you are expected to travel, it will probably detail that in your job description. But be prepared to answer with confidence, whether it is in the job description or not.

      Tips

HireVue's algorithms will record and analyze your interview performance. It may evaluate your facial expressions, eye movements, body movements, clothing details, and vocal inflections. It will likewise examine the consistency between your answers and your level of honesty to determine your experience level and to predict your future job performance. That information, with the recorded interviews, is passed on to the company's hiring authority for further study.

Once a question is posed, you'll be allowed roughly 20-30 seconds per question to formulate your response. Once it starts recording, you'll have up to three minutes to answer. There are no retakes. You get only one opportunity to record your answers. Some questions may take longer to answer than others, but only take as much time as you need. Don't try to run out the clock or allow it to cut you off. Be as succinct as possible.
