HireVue assesses data points in the recorded videos to identify the top performers and those most suited to the company's goals and culture. That information is then passed onto the company's hiring authority, depending on what HireVue package they've signed up for. Some request only the recorded videos and no assessment reports. Some request the report as well, while others request a screening and only receive those who pass the algorithm's evaluations as potential top performers. Once the hiring authority receives the materials, they can view the interviews side by side for further comparison and evaluation.

Make sure you are in a relatively quiet place with as little background noise as possible. The camera angle should be at eye level. Positioning it too low will make you come across as domineering. Too high, and you'll seem too weak or small. So center it, and make sure your lighting is also equally balanced. Maintain eye contact in front of the camera as if you're speaking face-to-face with a person. Be mindful of your facial expressions.
