QUESTION 21 OF 30

Who is GSK's CEO?

On their website, GSK offers their candidates the tip, "Research GSK on our website and social media including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram." This question serves to test whether you have done just that. In doing some minor research on their website, you'll find this quote from their CEO, Emma Walmsley: "Helping everyone to thrive individually, in all their diversity is what will help us get Ahead Together. I have never believed more that our success depends on our people and everyone has the chance to truly thrive at GSK."

"Dame Emma Walmsley has been GSK CEO and Board Director since April 2017. Emma has been a member of the GSK Leadership Team since 2011, as the President and then CEO of GSK Consumer Healthcare. She chaired the Consumer Joint Venture with Pfizer until its demerger as Haleon in 2022. Emma joined the Microsoft board as an independent director in 2019. She is a member of the Stanford Medicine Board of Fellows and a member of The Business Council Executive Committee in the US. Emma was appointed Dame Commander of the British Empire for services to the pharmaceutical industry and business in 2020. Emma holds an MA in Classics and Modern Languages from Oxford University."

"Dame Emma Natasha Walmsley, DBE, has worked for GSK since 2010, after leaving a long career at L'Oreal. She took over as CEO of the company in April 2017."
