While I have not been a part of a merger, I was with a start-up company that was in continuous growth. In an environment such as this, there can be a lot of chaos as everyone is playing their part to implement new initiatives that can be in constant flux. This can create opportunities for learning and leadership, as I discovered what marketing initiatives worked best for my customers.

Yes, I have. I was excited and open about the merger and felt it was going to be a great opportunity to learn more about another company and their products. Even though many were afraid, I spoke positively about what the merger was going to offer not only for us as a company but also for our customers and our future customers.

Yes, it was very exciting. My job is to integrate people into the culture of the company. I had gathered some feedback from other associates from the previous merger that this was one area they were still struggling with. So I created a personal profile for each new onboarding associate, and for every member of the team, the new unit was joining. I asked each person the same set of questions and included photos. I also created detailed personalized training plans.

In researching Stryker, it is easy to see that they are continually merging with companies, which allows them to have a more significant impact on their customers and people all around the world. It shows that Stryker, as a company is always looking to improve and be the leader in the medical device industry. I have never worked for a company in the past that has gone through a merger while working there.

I was impressed to read Stryker had completed 44 acquisitions and spent over 18 Billion. To me, that is the result of amazing growth and the excellence of the company leader in the sector. I would love to have the opportunity to participate in new processes that shows the strong position of Stryker in the market.

While I was at the _______ they acquired the Disney Company and while I was at ______ they acquired Ann Taylor and Loft. There were lots of meetings to go over, our new teams and new responsibilities. If there was something I was unsure about I was sure to ask my manager and take lots of notes.

Yes, I have been part of a few corporate mergers or acquisitions at _______ Inc. One was a reagent manufacturer for hematology products in South Jersey, and another was a partner that manufactured instrumentation in the anatomic pathology industry. I was part of valuing the product line and performing a gap analysis as to what would have been needed in order to be successful in the existing and saturated market. I suggested a one-stop shop for peruse of the reagents tied into a barcode or closed system, of a one-time capital expenditure for the customer as well as repeat service contracts and consumables with various tiered pricing options for a full range of organization sizes.
