"I really appreciate this question as it is something I have put a lot of thought into as I make my next career move. It is amazing to learn from your team about Stryker's commitment to educating and growing staff and helping them reach their full potential. This is truly an environment where I can see myself thriving. As I've spent recent years helping to mentor new hires in our department and starting management-related training, growing into a department manager role is something that I want to work for into the future. I am a very effective communicator and would come to Stryker with the ability to network with other leaders to keep pushing innovation in a positive direction."

One of the reasons Stryker is so appealing to me is because of the opportunity for talented individuals to move up in the organization. To me, the next logical step after defining my value within the field sales organization is to take my territory management skills to a regional level. I am continually seeking leadership opportunities that allow me to grow my skillset and broaden my understanding of management. It makes me a better territory leader and will prepare me for a future as a Regional Director very soon.

Lauren's Feedback
This is a phenomenal response! I made very minor grammatical edits; otherwise, this is exceptional!
Stryker is such an appealing employer because of the ability to pursue career advances. After I define my value in the Field Sales sector in my territory, I would like to advance my career to a regional level. Building more management skills has been a long-standing goal of mine, and I would like to take my skills to the next level. I am continually seeking leadership opportunities that will allow me to broaden my understanding and grow my skill set. I strive to be the best territory leader I can be, but eventually, I would like to see myself as a Regional Director. I genuinely believe Stryker can groom me to make the next advance in my career.

When I was first starting in Medical device sales, I had the privilege of working with an excellent regional manager who took the time to teach me anatomy and the science behind the products I was selling. He was very engaging and always there to give me advice when I needed it and is one of the reasons I am a successful sales rep today. I would love to one day become a regional manager and mentor someone to help them reach their full potential.

Rachelle's Feedback
Your goals are clear, positive, and in alignment with Stryker's values. Excellent response!

As you can see from my resume, I have continued to grow my career by taking on more responsibility with each role change. Coming into Stryker as an associate manager would follow along this path for me. My goal from there would continue to advance to a manager role and then the director or vice president. If there was a different area of the company that I would like to explore, I love that Stryker encourages this and would only make me a better leader.

Rachelle's Feedback
You have fantastic career goals and show a lot of desire/initiative in your response.

I would like to be made senior with this position if possible. I believe I have worked very hard the past 4 years with ____ and deserve this opportunity. My goal is to show to you, and everyone I encounter at Stryker that I do actually deserve it and prove that with the work I put in. I want to also show my gratitude and that will be seen by the effort I put into learning the role as efficiently as possible and by the effort I put into getting to know others.

Cindy's Feedback
Ok, good start. One approach to this question would be to map out both what your career path is, how you are achieving it, and how you'll contribute back to the company.
My goal is to earn a promotion to a senior-level position. Over the past four years, I have steadily built expertise {be specific and explain what you've learned here} by {here, explain how you built that knowledge, Was it through training? experience? added responsibilities?} resulting in a high level of knowledge and commitment to the company. With additional work {here, explain your plans to expand your knowledge further] I am planning to ready myself for an opportunity to contribute on a greater scale.
