Learning new skills and techniques is one of my motivating factors. I constantly immerse myself in opportunities both on a local level and national level. At my current company, we have Nexus meetings that allow physicians to better understand how our products work through a didactic course and then on to a cadaver training where they can get their hands on the product. There are excellent learning opportunities for me, too, as I have a chance to use the equipment also and understand better what the physician is experiencing.

This is a great example. I omitted the first two sentences because the rest of your response is direct and very strong. My suggested response involved minor verbiage edits.

Currently, I take part in Nexus Meetings that allow physicians to understand better the way products work through hands-on didactic courses and cadaver training. I joined Toastmasters a few years ago to improve on my presentation skills, and I found that this organization provides an opportunity to improve upon my leadership skills as well. At my last job, they offered a team lead training program that I decided I wanted to do. I'm always trying to be better then I was the day before, and to do that is the more you know, the more you grow. Be an example of integrity was an important thing to learn. You possess this you gain trust from your team members, they know what you say you will do, and you treat everyone like you want to be treated.

I emphasize continuous learning and development. Last Friday, I was caught up on my work and had no meetings scheduled, so I used this time to take three online SHRM - SCP education credits. I chose three webcasts related to Talent Management so I could continue to learn what trends are happening in the market and how different industries are being successful at addressing them.

AANS. I attended a cadaver lab for herniated disc repair. I think any chance you have to work with a corpse is valuable for a sales rep because it helps you understand what the doctor sees while he is operating-it doesn't look like it does in the books!

I would constantly be reading the industry news magazine and pharmaceutical bulletins that would come out monthly to our office. Also, I had a client who was a compounding pharmacy discussing new formulas and techniques; I went home and researched these new methods so that I could include them in my future sales pitches.

The last opportunity I had was to attend a seminar at my school was with a professor and biomedical ophthalmology researcher from the University of California, San Diego. He discussed his research and the use of optical coherence tomography.
