"I was fortunate to have some very great mentors early in my career who displayed the importance of treating internal customers right and always taking a collaborative approach. The work in financial analysis can be demanding, and I imagine this is especially true here at Stryker where your team is a collaborative partner with many different department leaders. I ensure that I am always in communication with colleagues on timelines for my work to be completed and stick to my word to build trust and respect. I've worked with my fair share of demanding leaders and keeping a smile on my face and treating everyone with respect has worked effectively for me. I know that my work directly impacts budgets, inventory, and final products heading out the door and that's important in understanding the bigger picture of the work we do."

I believe that providing a good service is what sets me apart as a sales rep. I genuinely enjoy learning about my customer's needs and helping them towards a solution. This provides value and shows that I have a strong work ethic. In medical sales, it is ultimately about the patient, and I find that my compassion has allowed me to prove myself to my customers as well as my organization.

Rachelle's Feedback
Bringing compassion into the equation is a great add. Nice answer!

The hospitality industry is very service-focused. HR is also very service-focused to the internal client - the associates. I mandate that to all of the HR teams that I have worked with, that the internal clients' needs are our priority so that they may, in turn, take care of the external client. Our guest-facing associates can not be successful in their jobs; if we, HR not doing our job in providing them the resources they need to be successful.

Rachelle's Feedback
You make an incredibly important point in your answer, that you must care for your associates allowing the ripple effect to the guests. Nicely said!

I continue to follow up with customers to ensure that they are happy and to inform them about new product information. I try to be upfront and honest with them about everything to strengthen our relationship. I put together a 30-60 day check-in list as well as a corresponding list of what information will benefit each customer.

Rachelle's Feedback
These are very good steps to follow. It sounds as though you take excellent care of your customer base.

When I need to talk to our customers about their financials, I gather all necessary information from the sales manager. Empathy is everything in both a professional and personal life. I try to understand our customers' needs. In my current role, there was a customer who refused our payment terms. I did a deep dive to understand their needs and when I made a proposal, I tried to do something to make their lives easier. We began working more closely with this customer and iur sales volume increased.

Rachelle's Feedback
These are good examples of ways that you level with a customer, get to know them, and deliver more viable solutions in your current role. At the end of your answer, it would be great to directly discuss how you plan to show a commitment to the customers at Stryker if you are hired.
"When I need to discuss our customers' financials, I first receive all necessary information from the Sales Manager. I believe that empathy is everything in both professional and personal circumstances. When I correctly understand our customers' needs, I can build a financial proposal accordingly. For instance, in my current role, we had a customer who always refused our payment terms. I deep-dived into this customer's needs, and when I made my next proposal, I was sure to offer a factor that made their life easier. As a result, the customer agreed, and our sales volume increase. Should I be hired with Stryker, I will take this same care and attention by...(discuss a few measurable action steps that you could take in this new role)."

Recently I completed a Professional Diploma in Professional Marketing and Communication and I had the chance to learn new tools to implement in customer service, as automated emails or surveys. I would love to have the chance to discuss them with Strykers team members. Being aware of what is expected from me as the basic fact and fulfilling these expectations. As customer Care Assistants we exist for and to exceed customer needs, that is the sense of our job, to put customers in the center and work hard to cover and exceed their expectations.

Cindy's Feedback
Good! Customer care is the heart and soul of the customer experience! Draw on some examples of enhancing your prior clients' business and discuss them with the interviewer. This will lead to a responsive and complete answer.

Working for the trauma surgeon, patients were usually upset when they called because they were injured and in pain. I always made sure to listen to their concerns, try to get them to calm down, and assure them that I would get them the care they needed. It always made me feel good when the call ended well and lots of patients would bring me little gifts like chocolates and flowers because they were so thankful for my help.
Marcie's Feedback
That's really nice! :) The fact that patients would go out of their way to thank you for your help definitely shows that you made them feel cared about and listened to, which is great. This is a great example to include here. You might also talk about asking for their feedback and then making personal adjustments and setting goals accordingly. Nice job!

Quality by design is very important in developing medical devices. I have had a unique role as to having input in biocompatible device components or using raw materials from companies that are ISO 13485 and biocompatible.

Amanda's Feedback
Providing high-quality design is important to providing a positive customer experience. Consider improving this answer by talking about how you keep the customer at the center of your work. How does using certain raw materials reflect a customer focus? Are there other ways you can show that you strive to meet customer needs? For example, do you solicit feedback from customers? Do you communicate product changes proactively? Are you constantly looking for ways to improve products? If so, share an example of a time when you improved a product based on customer feedback.

I always ensure that we keep focusing on the customer's needs. I always take time to communicate and share updates with my customers to ensure that they're aware of everything related to their product. This also allows me to receive approving feedback from the customer or if there are things that need to change. This way, there are no surprises when the deadlines arrive.

Amanda's Feedback
Staying focused on customer needs, communicating proactively, and being open to feedback are great ways to illustrate your customer-centric approach. You can give this response more impact by sharing more about how you enable customers to be part of the solution or collaborate with other teams (i.e. customer support, sales, product development, etc.) to ensure customer needs are anticipated and met.
