I was honest with her, and I did not try to give her false hope as it was only going to make the bad situation even worse. I engaged my manager and suggested that we deliver the card to her even if she was at the airport. My manager agreed, and thankfully the card was ready before she flew out so we managed to deliver it to her at the airport which was mind-blowing to her. She did not think we would actually drive all the way to the airport to give her the card.
