I first go to the Marriott Employee website to find out if there are any employee rates where I am traveling. Then I check Friends and Family rates. If nothing fulfills my needs, I go to Hotels.com. There I can sort based on the criteria that most suit my needs, whether that is location, pricing, ratings, or a combination thereof.

As I am currently a student with meager amounts of money, my priority is to find an affordable hotel. The next thing I look for is the location of the hotel as I believe safety is paramount if one is visiting a new place. The third thing I look for is amenities in the hotel.

As a budget-conscious student, there are three main factors I seek when deciding on a hotel. Cost is my primary concern, and a close second is a location. Safety is of the utmost importance behind the price. Lastly, I inquire about the amenities of the hotel. Convenience and comfort are important to me when selecting lodging.
