I have supervised people in my class project and helped assign opportunities to them and motivated them. I look forward to using this skill in the future.

Lauren's Feedback
It would be helpful to list the number of supervisees in your response.
I have supervised an upwards of 10 people during coursework group projects. I feel natural in a leadership role, as I can assign relevant tasks to highlight each members' best skills, and help motivate the group to find shared growth and harmony. I genuinely look forward to leadership opportunities in the future.

I am mentoring two junior developers currently, but in my previous project, I have handled a team of 8 developers.

Perfect! It's great that you also included the job titles of those you are supervising. That would most likely be the interviewers' follow-up question anyways :) Try adding in a sentence related to your desire to be in a leadership role. I have provided an example below.
"I am currently mentoring two junior developers. In my previous project, I led a team of 8 developers. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others and look forward to both formal and informal leadership opportunities at Expedia."
