"Large banks are for-profit, making them more sales driven. This approach can often mean a lower focus on customer service and impersonal service. When it comes to credit unions, we often have higher community involvement, which translates to better customer service at the same time. Credit unions often have better employee training, which also can mean more personalized service for members."

"Credit unions are non-profits, and member-owned, which means they will almost always be more customer-centric. Credit unions are often involved in community groups and take more care than large, and traditional banks can. Also, if we consider geographical location; most credit unions are in smaller, rural communities where service and connection is everything."

I think that's because credit unions are member-owned and customer-driven, placing the needs of the customer as a top priority, unlike traditional banks, which are sales-driven and focused on profit more than customer satisfaction.

Good answer! You come across as knowledgeable in this area. Another reason you could mention to explain why credit unions rank higher in customer service than traditional banks is that they don't pay taxes or face the same regulatory environment that banks do, which allows them to charge lower fees and offer higher interest rates (perks that make credit unions more customer-friendly). You might also add that banks are for-profit institutions, while credit unions are non-profits. Great job!

Credit Unions are Nonprofit whereas large banks are for-profit and tend to upsell more than the smaller more customer service and community-oriented banks. I've experienced great service with both industries but I did notice BECU went the extra mile to make it right when I got double charged on a donation.
