Both times I stayed late to cover the shift. Last week, I went to work on my day off to assist with staff shortages. I am always happy to help when I can."

If my replacement doesn't show up on time, I would love to take up his work depending on company policies. However, If I have any preplanned schedule I will explain my situation to my supervisor and ask him if he can provide the best possible alternative.
