"I enjoy striking up conversations with strangers. I take public transit to work every day and find myself in riveting conversations many days. For instance, on my way to work yesterday, there was a gentleman sitting beside me. He was reading a book that I've had on my to-read list for some time. I asked him what he thought about the book, and what he was learning from it. It turns out he is a professor at the university I attend. I was happy to have made a connection with him through a memorable conversation. This will be especially beneficial if I ever have a class with him in the future. As a Sales Associate, I realize that the ability to strike up converstaion with confidence is a very important quality. I have the confidence required to approach customers and I have the people-skills to make a connection with them."
