In my former role, we always strived for transparency in our organization and in the way we do business. We designed our system so that when a customer asked us if we could meet an expectation, we would be truthful even if it meant we may not win their business. As an example, there were times we became aware that a customer was using our product directly in patient care when the FDA regulations for our class 1 medical devices required further processing of some sort before use in patient care. In these cases, we took immediate action to communicate this with our customers and work with them to resolve whatever issue was preventing them from using our product as intended.

Integrity is a core value at Cardinal Health, and they want to hear that you hold the same level of regard for it. This is a good example that shows you do the right thing, even when it's difficult. Assure the interviewer you will bring that same level of ethics and integrity to the team if hired.
