"There have been so many developments in biotechnology the past three years, but I do feel that the biggest was the development in gene editing. It's an incredibly controversial and intriguing practice and I think many more things will come in this area in the next five to ten years."

A quick internet search shows the latest trends and innovations in biotechnology in 2022 put out by the Dr. B. Lal Institute of Biotechnology. The top five are 1.) Precision medicines, 2.) Artificial intelligence and big data, 3.) Biofuels, 4.) Tissue engineering and regenerative medicines, and 5.) Food biotechnology and agriculture. Discuss one or two of the recent advancements and try to relate the advancement to the role or position you are interviewing for.
