Who would you say inspires you the most?
As you interview for this role, your interviewer will focus many questions on your technical skills for the job. They will ask this question to see if someone inspired you to pursue your career and hear how you communicate and connect with others.
"I find inspiration in a variety of people and things. I would have to say that the person who has most greatly inspired me has been my grandmother. It is best to describe a person you are close to and avoid political or religious figures. You do not know the interviewer's beliefs and do not want to offend them. After mentioning who inspires you the most, be sure to explain why you chose this person.

It's corny but my grandmother was a huge inspiration to me. She overcame a lot of barriers in the 30s and 40s and was a strong woman who raised 5 children by herself while working up to 3 part-time jobs because it was rare for women to be hired full-time in those days. Although she died of Parkinson's disease when I was 13, I think of her often and how the choices she made created a lasting impression on my mother and me.
