What You Need to Know
Your interviewer is curious whether you are an extrovert or introvert and what environment will offer you greater job satisfaction. Your answer will help them discern how well you would thrive in this position and their environment. It will also help them determine where to promote your strengths - in an analytical and solitary environment or a more interpersonal and collaborative setting. Try not to lean too hard one way or the other unless it is true, which it rarely is. Ideally, it's best to strike a balance between both spheres, as adaptability and flexibility are often viewed as desirable assets in a candidate. Put self-evaluative thought into your answer rather than trying to hurry through it. Talk to the interviewer about your preference around number crunching versus customer engagement and team collaboration.
