How you answer this question will give the interviewer insight into your self-awareness and how you identify your merits and growth opportunities. Provide the personal strengths that make you an excellent candidate and explain how they'll aid your success in this role. Align your strengths with what Liberty Mutual is looking for in their ideal candidates.
Frame your greatest weakness as an asset in its own right. Holding yourself to a higher standard and being your own harshest critic can be a weakness. Also, present your weakness as a growth opportunity that you're already aware of and actively working on. Remain conscious of your body language throughout the interview process. Make sure your answers remain consistent with how you present yourself.

"I think my greatest strength is my eagerness to please, but my greatest weakness is not being able to say no. In the past, I've bitten off more than I can chew and struggled with how to communicate 'no.' Since then, I learned that not communicating what's possible within my well-managed time and taking on more than I can handle will lead me to underperform. I've gotten a handle on this. But being a people person who is not easily offended and rarely takes things personally, saying no can be hard for me. This trait is a strength and weakness. I'm learning how to strike a harmonious balance between the two."

One of my greatest strengths is I am self-motivated and aware of time management. A weakness is I am a "type A" personality and will often take on additional workloads that may set me behind. My method to manage this is to pause and evaluate my own workload to see if I can assist, or guide my co-worker as to how to fit the task in.
Marcie's Feedback
Great! Can you talk more about your strengths? And which one is your greatest - being self-motivated or proficient at managing your time? How did you realize this was a strength of yours, and how will it benefit you in this role? Mentioning your Type A personality as a weakness is good, and the interviewer will appreciate that you have techniques in place to handle/mitigate this tendency of yours. Good job!
