Discuss your ability to remain focused and not easily distracted from your work. If you describe a very particular ideal work environment, the company will likely not be able to meet your demands and may pass you over for another candidate who is adaptable to any environment and has no trouble staying focused and on task. Consider whether you can be productive in any environment and if there are particular environments that you find distracting but can work within. Discuss your preferences with the interviewer. Thoroughly research their work environment before the interview.

I think that I work best where I have a clearly defined objective; there is a proven methodology for obtaining that objective and quantifiable steps in the methodology. If I have these tools and I can differ to colleagues and leadership to fill in the gaps, I can work very well independently. At that point, it's just about effort.
