The goal of this question is to identify what factors motivate you at work and inspire your productivity. We all like to be recognized in some way for our accomplishments in the workplace. Give the interviewer insights into what motivates and inspires you rather than focusing on tangible rewards or compensation. Stress that you won't burn out easily in this field. Share what helps you stay productive throughout your workday. Explain how you approach your work, regardless of the nature of the work. You want to advertise how well you'll complement their team and how well you work with others.

"I am very much an over-achiever and find that the best way to recognize me for a job well done is through words of kindness and recognition. I am easily encouraged, and the best reward is to know that my hard work is being noticed."

We all like to be recognized for our accomplishments right? I think that Title promotions for repeating accomplishments is great. Also, travel, as I want my family to be able to see new places and cultures. To be singled out publicly as an achiever is great as well.

Rachelle's Feedback
Excellent! You show enthusiasm for real growth and recognition for a job done well. The interviewer will have a very clear view of what motivates you!

The best reward for me is acknowledgment. I feel if my superiors openly recognize my achievements they will then know I am ready to advance or take on additional tasks.
Marcie's Feedback
Nice! So you like to be verbally praised? What about written or social recognition? Do you enjoy being rewarded financially or with perks like extra PTO? Be sure to explain all the ways you like to be recognized while emphasizing that you have an internal drive no matter what type of recognition you receive or not. Good job!
