No one's perfect, so I'll give myself a 9. I am capable of clearly writing and verbally expressing myself. I practice active listening, which I believe is a strong component of communication and. I also believe it's important to know the type of individual that you are communicating with, as different people communicate in different ways. Dynamic individuals like to get right to the point, while more diplomatic individuals require a longer explanation.

Rachelle's Feedback
Well said, and a good start! To keep your answer more personalized (you run into some generalizations in the end), I recommend focusing mainly on yourself and provide a specific instance of a time when you expressed yourself clearly either verbally or in writing. You can use the STAR framework for the second part of your response if you want to craft a very robust answer.

9 I am determined for people to understand me and the process I am trying to achieve. I will back up my verbal communications with written conversation. I feel that way if the other person did not fully understand me verbally they will then have an opportunity to read and respond to the communication in text.
Marcie's Feedback
It's great that you provide your clients with both verbal and written explanations. Don't forget to also discuss other forms of communication too, like listening, public speaking, and non-verbal language.
