This question is aimed at determining what your unique perspective has to offer their teams. Sometimes it takes an outside-of-the-box point of view to find the most obvious solutions to a problem. So showcase your approach to your work by offering an example relevant to the question.

When it comes to preparing for your HireVue video interview, Delta strongly advises that you "practice, practice, practice. Since this is a virtual interview, practice by conducting a video call using the same equipment and place where you'll conduct your video interview, describing your experiences and achievements to a family member or friend. Troubleshoot any technology or lighting/background issues, and ask for feedback on how you came across in the video format."
Additionally, HireVue offers practice questions on their website to prepare you for their process. "While virtual interviewing isn't difficult, a little practice can help you prepare. Most on-demand interviews ask you to give your answer in just a few minutes. It's helpful to think about how you will illustrate your skills clearly in that timeframe, and to practice them out loud."

Project confidence and clarity by always being prepared. Prepare for the interview by familiarizing yourself with the body language of someone who is both confident and relaxed. Boost your confidence by engaging in physical exercise beforehand. Seek out a quiet spot, stand in front of a mirror, and give yourself a pep talk. Elevate your arms, loosen your back, and improve your posture. Get comfortable in front of the camera by practicing your answers and recording your voice. When rehearsing in front of your computer's camera, avoid looking at yourself on the screen and instead maintain eye contact with the lens, as if you are speaking face-to-face with someone. Share the value you bring with conviction. Practice until you are comfortable with this style of interview and feel calm and appear natural.

"We had a small delivery that needed to be made, but our delivery driver was out sick. This delivery included medicine for our customer which they really needed. But they couldn't find anyone to cover for our delivery driver, and no one could get out of work. So, I was clocking off as this was going on, knew that the customer was just a little out of the way of my commute home and I said I would deliver it now, which was less costly and faster than any other method. Problem solved."

When speaking to your problem-solving abilities you want to come across as an experienced professional who can think quickly on your feet. You want to come across as confident, relaxed, at ease, and within your comfort zone. Conveying that going above and beyond is your status quo should come across as second nature. So, keep it natural, speaking with friendly confidence while maintaining eye contact with the camera. Be mindful of your posture and smile with both your mouth and your eyes. Keep your body language open, tone steady, even, and consistent with your statements.
