HireVue claims that its AI technology is created to identify and minimize bias. Their objective involves helping clients form teams that encompass a range of backgrounds, knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. Regardless of your background, the assessment model evaluates your experience with and value of diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace.
Cultural competence is conveyed through interest, openness, and curiosity. These emotions can be expressed through nonverbal indicators such as leaning in, tilting your head, smiling, and making eye contact. Discomfort and avoidance signs might signal negative bias and antipathy. Examples of nonverbal cues include lower positivity, reduced eye contact and increased gaze aversion, fewer smiles, greater interpersonal distance, and increased blinking. Keep these points in mind when crafting your response.
