Coming up with ideas to increase productivity or save the company money are always great ways to make a positive impact on your employer. This question is your opportunity to share a time you made difference by helping input a change in a process or procedure.

"A couple of years ago, I suggested that our department forego the usual Christmas celebration lunch and take the time to commit to a volunteer opportunity instead. My co-workers really liked the idea so we did just that! This effort turned into a regular volunteer opportunity for our department. Now, we all collaborate with the local food bank at least once per quarter. We log our volunteer hours on our website and use our company social media account to encourage local volunteerism. What type of volunteer opportunities do Anheuser-Busch employees have?"

"Last year I noticed that we were spending a lot of money on our training but that we were not getting the results that we wanted. Not only did I decide to take on changing the training but I worked to get part of it to be an online training program which reduced our training costs."

Think about instances where you made a suggestion or change that was received positively by management. It's OK to give an example of a change that might seem small or insignificant. Alternately, because giving back to the community is important for Anheuser-Busch, you might consider sharing how you have been involved with non-profit efforts with past employers. The Anheuser-Busch Foundation has contributed more than 585 million to charitable causes and wants its employees to give back.

My work experience is not so great that I have no experience of implementing changes in the workplace. But I have implemented a change in teamwork at school. As you know, because of Covid-19, part of the school curriculum has been shifted to remote classes, and much of the teamwork is done remotely after school. In the beginning, our group was always working together on video. But I find this model of collaboration very inefficient. We always have to accommodate everyone's free time. So I decided that we could finish our own parts separately. In the end, we could integrate our work through videos and brainstorm the difficult parts. This method improved our efficiency and saved time.

You've found a great way to answer. Even if you don't have direct, workplace experience implementing a change, your school experience is relevant. So, I'd recommend calling more attention to what you accomplished and less attention to your lack of experience. I've written an example below to illustrate.
"One of the greatest changes I've implemented was during school, as a response to the COVID-19 crisis. Much of our curriculum was shifted to a remote environment, and study groups were held over video. Because of scheduling difficulties, however, this proved an inefficient way to study, so I proposed to the group that we work individually on our own projects and collaborate on a video to handle the difficult parts of the project. Everyone agreed and our efficiency improved."

Safety is the number 1 priority in our building, and I identified a safety hazard a few months back regarding our overpack storage. Pallets of boxes line the safety walkway near packing mods, and the double-stacked pallets were leaning over into the walkway posing a safety concern. I immediately partnered with a TM to get the product down-stacked to fix the concern quickly. From there I partnered with my senior, other packing OMs, and our engineering team to come up with a solution. We were able to then install a kickplate that stopped the pallets from pushing and leaning into the walkway and continued to single stack. Showed the team that safety is a huge priority, and we were able to address it quickly.
