There are going to be times when you and your team come up with a PR strategy that someone doesn't like, whether it be management or the client. The interviewer wants to know that you can handle this type of situation. Explain what you would do in these circumstances.
"There are definitely times when this happens. I view it as a positive because this just means that we need to continue nailing down what our strategy and planned objectives are for this particular campaign. In the beginning, this is necessary to ensure a successful campaign that pleases everyone. So, if someone doesn't agree with the proposed PR strategy, I explain why we're thinking of moving in this direction (providing insight into the needs of the market), but then remain open to making adjustments so everyone is content. Prior to beginning a campaign, it's essential that everyone - the PR team, management, and the client - are all on the same page. Many times when someone disagrees with the proposed strategy it's because they've lost sight of the objective and want to force their personal taste over market needs. It's my job to show them what will resonate with our target audience."
