"Over the years as I've gained more experience in managing others, I've become more adept at delegating work. This is necessary when you're leading others because your time needs to be spent on the big picture and strategizing. While there are definitely times when I roll up my sleeves and get to work on the details, many times my team members carry out these tasks while I focus on the mission and vision behind the campaign or project. One example of a time when I would choose to delegate is when I know someone else is more experienced or better suited to that type of work than I am. Other times I delegate because I'm simply out of time or have higher priorities that I need to concentrate on. Finally, I sometimes delegate work with the express purpose of helping a team member gain more experience in a specific area."
