"Earlier on in my career, I had the opportunity to be a 'buddy' to a new employee who had been hired for PR. As a more senior colleague who had been working in PR for multiple years by that time, I was easily able to show this person the ropes. Since public relations can be fast-paced and stressful at times, I gave them advice about how to prevent and alleviate stress. I also showed them how to prioritize projects.
