"There are many rewarding aspects to being an academic advisor. If I had to choose the biggest stand-outs for myself, I would say that I love that every person I meet has a different story to tell. Students these days are so diverse and forward-thinking that it keeps me on my toes. Another rewarding aspect for me is the continual research and education I can do. I feel as though I, myself, am constantly learning."

The most rewarding thing about being an advisor and working with students is watching them become more confident decision-makers.

Rachelle's Feedback
This factor would be rewarding, indeed! If you have a story-based example of a time when you helped a student make a tough decision with confidence, it may be a nice addition to your response.

You get to meet and help a real person. You connect and learn about them ---which is so fun---and since everyone is unique each interaction is a puzzle. Then you get to utilize all your knowledge of the college rules and regulations, the programs, the majors, financial aid, and more to figure out what each student needs, what the next steps are, where there may be options, and what the student might need to know.
Marcie's Feedback
Excellent response! Your passion and excitement about being an academic advisor and helping students truly shine through in your answer. Awesome!
