When joining a new team, there will be a period during your onboarding where building relationships and earning the trust of your peers is the priority. Describe your personality, your character, and how you approach earning the trust of your new coworkers. Two of their core values are Caring and Collaboration, so integrate these into your approach.

"I've learned that to earn the trust of a team you may be entering, you should start by showing common courtesy and making an earnest effort. Your communication should be respectful, and you should respect their time, personal space, and boundaries, especially between work and personal life. Treat everyone the same, regardless of their job title, never complain about your job to your coworkers, and own up to your mistakes and fix them."

"I feel that the best way to earn the trust of my coworkers is to be helpful and show that I care, that I'm invested in their success as much as my own, and that I equate success as mutual success. In this way, I try to be as collaborative as possible, always do what I promise, and always be honest with them. I believe strong relationships have to be built on these principles."

Be approachable, especially if you are new to the team. I like to sit and find my spot on the team and just don't assume. I'm very hardworking, so I'm always open to doing whatever is asked of me and beyond. This way I help my teammates out, they feel like they can trust my reliability, and I also am able to learn the work more from a different lens.

You share a number of meaningful ways to gain the trust of your co-workers! The only additional suggestion I have is to consider adding in a specific example. (Example: do you build connections by taking co-workers to coffee, learning about their families and interests, bringing baked goods to share, etc? What does this relationship-building actually look like for you, in practice?)
Prepare for behavioral scenarios and operational questions that airline interviewers prioritize.
