According to some online resources, American Airlines' six-week training course covers topics from customer service to passenger safety and emergency medical services, among others. Do your research before your interview to discover what to expect. Share any previous experience you've had in this regard. Assure the interviewer that you are confident in your ability to handle an emergency professionally. If you are new to the industry and do not have the related training, be honest and comment on any other training you've completed. Explain your expectations for what is involved while assuring them of your confidence and ability to learn fast. Share any relevant experiences you've had that lend credibility to your statements.

I am new to a career in the airline industry and have not yet received any in-flight emergency training other than paying close attention to the instructions as a passenger before takeoff. I always sit in the emergency exit row and take those responsibilities seriously. Additionally, any time I am on a flight, I strike up a conversation with the attendants and ask questions about this topic. I am confident in my ability to react professionally and appropriately in any emergency and look forward to taking the in-flight training with American Airlines, should I be graced with the opportunity.

Yes, I have received training for inflight emergencies and had several experiences which taught me to always be prepared, brush up on your flight attendant's manual first aid, and always remain calm in any situation. most importantly use your team and try to have strong communication so you can get through this together because two heads are better than one.

Stephanie's Feedback
Good--it sounds like you have the training you need to handle emergency situations that may pop up. I suggest adding a closing sentence that confidently re-states this. For example: "I am an experienced flight attendant, and I feel well prepared to handle any emergency that may arise."
Prepare for behavioral scenarios and operational questions that airline interviewers prioritize.
