"Clear communication is essential in the airline industry. I would rate my communication skills as a 7 out of 10 because there is always room for improvement. Because I am an open leader, my team will let me know if I need to clarify anything. Communication needs to run smoothly, both ways."

Jaymie's Feedback
The interviewer will appreciate an honest self-assessment, especially when you acknowledge that no one is perfect and there is always room for growth. Can you go into more detail about the specific communication skills you feel you're strong in (active listening, empathy, compassion, verbal and nonverbal, written and email communication, communication style, etc.)? Try to be specific in the skills that will transfer well into the role. If you've received past performance reviews or positive feedback from managers regarding your communication skills, be sure to speak to that as well to really showcase your skills and abilities in this area.
