I believe that my students would describe me as positive, caring, and organized. I tend to be very positive when looking at problems and issues, caring about my interactions with people I come in contact with, and organized in my daily life.

My students would describe me as kind, encouraging, and challenging. I want to build positive relationships with my students however I want them always to perform to their best. iI they have lack of confidence I build them up and get them to achieve small milestones but I don't ever let them give up. Maybe I should also say relentless...

Stephanie's Feedback
Excellent response! You care deeply for your students and it shows.

My students would describe me as mean, strict, and helpful. I teach middle school students. They think that I am mean because I give them projects each week to complete. I don't allow them to eat or drink in my class because students work on computers. They think that I am helpful because when they have questions on projects, I help them to solve the solution.

Stephanie's Feedback
It sounds like you have a great classroom management strategy in place and lead a well-balanced classroom! While middle schoolers understandably may use choice words to describe their teachers (even when they secretly really appreciate the teacher!) I suggest removing the word "mean" as a descriptor here, as you open up the door for your interviewers to wonder if you're ever a little TOO harsh or strict with your students. Instead, I would suggest replacing it with another adjective that students have used to describe you (Supportive? A good listener? Patient? Fair?) You work hard as a teacher, so don't be afraid to give yourself a positive spin here!
Anonymous Answer
My students would say I was empowering, firm and fair.

Stephanie's Feedback
These are strong adjectives, and it sounds like you're an excellent teacher! To make your answer more memorable and impactful, I suggest including a specific example or two to show how these descriptive words come to life in your classroom. For example. you mention that you're "empowering." Can you share an example of how you've empowered your students? A specific example will take your response up a notch!
