"During one of my trainings, the teacher explained that the most effective way to learn a foreign language is through situational learning. We brought our students to the local Asian market and gave each of them money and a list of items to locate. By the end of the class, everyone knew basic phrases in Mandarin and could name a few fruits and vegetables."

"One of the workshops I attended this year taught an active listening method which focused on having the students talk 80% of the time and teachers 20% to facilitate their understanding instead of relying on teachers for every answer. I am currently studying my masters, and through the program, I've managed to bring a lot of the strategies I've learned into the classroom. Technology is another way I keep on top of educational trends. I am subscribed to many different blogs that help as well.

I have accumulated 30 hours of training on the National College training site since July 2021. I have a master's degree and am a member of many professional social media platforms. As a governor of a local primary school, I receive training on school governance and most recently SEN. I am currently researching differentiation strategies to support the Most Able students. I would like to complete a NPQSL. The variety of CPD that I engage with allows me to view changes in policy from different perspectives and that benefits me and helps my understanding when working within a team.
