Explain how you professionally handle situations where you do not meet deadlines. Assure the interviewer that you are committed to doing your due diligence in making deadlines.

"I always try my best to meet deadlines. However, there have been two times where I missed my deadlines - both were due to circumstances I could not control. I had to postpone my submission the first time because my graphic designer had to leave the country due to a family emergency. The second time, my daughter dropped my laptop and erased everything that I had completed. Both times, I was transparent with my client. I told them what happened and apologized. I also let them know that I would have the work completed by the following business day. Though it was stressful, I got everything done on time. It is always important to be honest and communicate well because clients respect that."
