"As I read about the position and Ramsay's people caring for people philosophy, I was very excited to hear about the open-door policy that your managers have. My greatest relationship with a manager is the one I have currently, and she operates under this same policy with the rest of the organization. If I ever have an issue, concern, or new idea, I can schedule a quick ten minutes for us to chat, and she is open to this at any time outside of her scheduled meetings. There have also been creative solutions I've talked to our Operations Administrator about, and it was always okay for me to go directly to him without going through my manager. I thrive in this organizational structure and would look forward to working like this with Ramsay."

"Having worked under a director that kept an eye over our shoulder at all times and didn't entrust our staff to work on their own, the move to my current employer was like night and day. My current director empowers our team to think critically, make decisions on our own and be a part of the larger decision-making processes for the department. She holds regular 1:1 meetings with us to keep her pulse on the front line of patient care while handling her director-level responsibilities. Is this similar to the way that you manage your staff?"

In my previous role as a Procurement Officer, I had the opportunity to work closely with a leader who embraced an open-door policy. Our ideal relationship was built on trust, effective communication, and mutual respect. This leader encouraged open dialogue, actively listened to my ideas and concerns, and provided guidance and support when needed. They valued my input and empowered me to take the lead on projects, fostering a sense of autonomy and growth. This ideal relationship allowed for open collaboration promoted innovation, and ultimately resulted in successful project outcomes.
