Ramsay Health Care prides itself on the training and development of our staff for career expansion opportunities. What are your ultimate career goals and have you taken any steps to getting to that point in your career?
With Ramsay's commitment to developing their staff, now is the time to be open and honest with your interviewer about your final career goals. Give your answer a personal touch by talking about your internal motivations in your career and why the job you are interviewing for is critical to your future success toward your goals.
"Having worked as a sonographer for eight years, I'll tell you that I'd love to be in a leadership position at some point in my career. I possess many great skills required for a leadership position, and I've started to work towards this goal by enrolling in an online MBA program. Having gotten to know a radiology unit's inner workings and the jobs well, I'm working towards becoming a manager-level employee in the Radiology setting. Do you see any potential for new leaders in your department 5-10 years down the road?"
"As a newer nurse, this position in obstetrical care is where I feel I will be able to hone the skills I've developed so far in my career and is a position that I wanted to work for out of nursing school. For a long-term career goal, I love to teach and feel that someday I would make a great nurse educator with a large organization like Ramsay Health Care."
The interviewer is asking two questions. They want to know about your career goals and what steps you have taken to get there. Be sure to mention classes you have taken or courses you have signed up for to help you achieve your professional goals.
Community answers are written by other candidates practicing this set. Reading how others frame the same question is one of the fastest ways to sharpen your own.

My ultimate career goal is to become a leader in the healthcare industry, specifically in the field of supply chain management. I aspire to contribute to improving healthcare operations and delivering high-quality patient care. To work towards this goal, I pursued an MBA with a focus on supply chain management and healthcare. I also obtained a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification to enhance my skills in process improvement. Additionally, I have actively sought opportunities to develop my leadership capabilities, such as taking on roles in research and development during my MBA and engaging in extracurricular activities. These steps have equipped me with the knowledge, skills, and determination to pursue my career goals and make a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector.
