"Having only worked in Australia, I haven't had the experience of working with and communicating with colleagues in other countries. Offhand, I can see language barriers in communications, emails, all-staff meetings, and things of the like. How does Ramsay help employees with language barriers? If I'm hired, you'll quickly find that I can effectively work with a wide array of people."

"I haven't worked with colleagues from another county, but my current employer has employees and a patient base that speak several languages and are from all walks of life. I think my experience here would bode well in potentially working with colleagues in other countries. Can you elaborate on how our department would work with colleagues in Europe and Asia?"

While I don't have direct professional experience working for an organization that crosses borders, I had the opportunity to participate in an international student exchange program in South Korea during my undergraduate studies. This program brought together students from various countries. Through this experience, I gained valuable insights into cross-cultural collaboration and developed an appreciation for the challenges and opportunities that arise when working with people from different backgrounds.
In terms of potential barriers, I believe that effective communication and understanding cultural differences can be key challenges when working in a global organization. Language barriers, different work practices, and varying perspectives can sometimes hinder seamless collaboration. However, with an open and inclusive mindset, along with a willingness to learn and adapt, these barriers can be overcome. I believe that embracing diversity and fostering a culture of respect and understanding is essential for successful collaboration in a global setting.

Jaymie's Feedback
It's best to be upfront and honest about your lack of experience, as you have been in your response. The related (non-work) experience you shared is impactful because it taught you lessons and skills that will transfer well in the future. You could articulate anticipated challenges and then take it further to discuss ways to overcome those barriers. Great job!
