Advice and answer examples written specifically for a Kaiser Permanente job interview.
17. If you were hired today, what would you accomplish first on the job?
How to Answer
Keeping in mind that one of Kaiser Permanente's core values is excellence in delivering the highest quality care and service possible, this question lets your interviewer see that you know which aspects of the role matter the most. Their career site does a very good job of outlining the specific duties of the job, so be sure to thoroughly read through the job description and think about what your first major accomplishment will be if hired. If the job is very dependent on working inter-departmentally, don't hesitate to talk about your desire to meet and know all of your new colleagues. With no right or wrong answer here, make sure your response is memorable to your interviewer long after your time together.

Answer Example
"In the outpatient setting here at Kaiser Permanente, I know I'll be working with a wide variety of prescribing physicians and collaborating with many pharmacy colleagues. Because success in this setting depends on communication and teamwork, the first thing that I would want to accomplish is to spend one-on-one time with my new colleagues and the physicians I would be collaborating with. I want to give them the chance to know me and my communication style so we can have immediate success moving forward."
