What is your process of explaining technical information to people who aren't technical?

"In the past, I've always tried to ascertain their level so I can speak to it. I give lots of examples of the technology and many visuals to explain what it does. I also walk through the data visually so they can see the impact of the numbers."

"To provide education to others, I always speak in the simplest terms possible. If I get more technical questions from the person or group, I will up my game a bit and speak more technically, but then rephrase for those folks who aren't at that level."

Even if you don't have experience providing education in the technical realm, displaying your ability to explain processes or ideas to others will be important.
