You may be new to teaching or maybe you're experienced and have not had to interview for a teaching job in a while. Either drawing from your education or your experience, think about some of the tools you have learned that help you be a better teacher. How do you hold the attention of the kids when teaching a topic that the students consider boring? Think of some examples of challenges you have faced and the tools you used to get through it. Sometimes when an interviewer asks a broad question like this, it is helpful to look back at your experiences and think of what has worked for you. Another example might be if a child was having difficulty learning the material and you had already tried multiple ways of approaching the subject. What did you do? Remember that you have a wealth of skill, some of it might even come naturally to you, so take time to write down what they are and consider the strategy it takes to maneuver through the challenges of teaching in the classroom.
