      Product specialists have to have many competencies. These include design expertise, engineering knowledge, production experience, and salesmanship. The latter skill comes into play when trying to convince other product stakeholders about the direction of the development project, the resources required, and the tasks that need to be accomplished. The interviewer will ask you this question to confirm that you can influence other project stakeholders using a variety of techniques, including market data.
