"My first priority would be soaking up as much information about culture, process and KPIs as possible. I'd embark on a 'listening tour' in order to engage in deep conversation with my team and with my colleagues to discover the greatest current needs and how to prioritize them based on company goals for the quarter. Overall, I would strive to meet or exceed all KPIs for the business quarter as efficiently as possible."

I would take time to build relationships with the team and also my manager. Trust is the key. Things will probably be a little different if we are still working from home. However, I would still take the initiative to approach people on my team, either by chats or calls, so that I can learn about the company culture, what the team is currently working on, and what the goal for the quarter is, so I can contribute to what's important. Only then I can set myself a goal.

Fantastic approach! Most interviewers should appreciate that you will enter this role by building relationships first. This really is an impactful way to build the foundation needed for success.
