Every employer aims to identify the motivators of each member of their staff and their team as a whole. Talk to the interviewer about the ways you find motivation on the job. Elaborate on your drivers and motivators in your career as well. Where there is passion, there is motivation.

"I am best motivated through words of praise and recognition for a job well done. I like to know that my efforts are noticed. In my current position, we have a leaderboard, and I like that concept because it creates a healthy bit of competition."

Personally, the best motivation on the job is having an open and transparent workplace where the expectations are clear and concise. When this environment is present, it allows for complete trust in my work and performance. Aside from this, words of affirmation and praise are always a nice gesture for a job well done.
Marcie's Feedback
Nice! You are clear about what motivates you: clear expectations, trust in your abilities, and verbal praise. The interviewer will find all of these requests reasonable and likely be impressed that you don't even mention money at all. Good job!
