The heart of this question is to assess your experience level with this side of the service Airbnb offers to their 'destination partners' or 'hosts.' If you have hosted before, discuss the overall experience and how successful Airbnb was in accommodating your concerns and needs. Be filtered when sharing your reasons for hosting, and maintain an air of professionalism. If you haven't hosted, learn everything you can about the experience, and try to talk to someone who has so that you can showcase your understanding and knowledge of all things Airbnb. Doing so will convey how invested you are in this opportunity.

"I have never hosted before, but I know someone who has. They've had some good experiences and some experiences that weren't what they hoped, but they communicated that they always felt they were treated fairly by Airbnb."

"I have hosted a few times when I went on vacation and didn't have a house sitter. I hired my cleaning person, who always does a great job, to check in and take care of the house between guests. They complained a couple of times about the state the guests left the place in, but my cleaner always did a great job of getting the house back into shape for me, and those guests just got charged a little extra. I have a five-star rating and have had nothing but outstanding experiences with Airbnb. It's been a great relationship so far."

No, I haven't had the opportunity to be a host and rent out my home on Airbnb. As I currently live in a one-bedroom rented apartment, the logistics and terms of my lease don't allow for it. However, I've been an Airbnb guest on numerous occasions and have greatly appreciated the sense of community and belonging that hosts create. Should my living situation change in the future, I would definitely consider becoming a host myself. This experience could provide me with valuable insights from a host's perspective and would undoubtedly enhance my understanding of Airbnb's platform and core values, particularly 'Be a Host'.
