The interviewer wants to hear about your ability to communicate with your team and professionally handle issues when they arise. Think of an example where you worked closely with your team to resolve a conflict. You could also offer a scenario where you mediated an issue between two coworkers. Show that you can keep your head on your shoulders when dealing with conflict.

"I have strong conflict management skills, and in my current position, I have had to exercise those skills from time to time. We are in a high-stress work environment, which can cause a lot of unnecessary conflict among the team. When a conflict arises, I like to deal with it swiftly, openly, and with poise. I lead my team with transparency and openness, so I will call a group meeting to express concerns and get it all out on the table."

"When there is conflict, I will address the issue head-on with expediency and open communication. Hearing the problem before deciding on a solution, and perhaps most importantly, hearing the parties out is most important. I believe in allowing the stakeholders to have a say in what they think will work best for them and then work together to create a solution that will work best for everyone."

In dealing with team conflicts, I believe in open communication, empathy, and a solution-oriented approach, aligning with Airbnb's 'Be a Host' value. I promote dialogue, encouraging all parties to express their viewpoints, and I listen actively to understand their perspectives. This reflects the 'Every Frame Matters' principle, where every voice counts. I aim to identify the root cause of the conflict and work collaboratively with the team to find a solution, embodying the 'Cereal Entrepreneur' spirit. If necessary, I'm not afraid to make tough decisions for the team's best interest, mirroring the 'Embrace the Adventure' value. Moreover, I believe in learning from these experiences to prevent future conflicts and champion a harmonious, inclusive team environment.

Jaymie's Feedback
These are great conflict-resolution strategies! It is great to tie in Airbnb's values and principles in some responses, however, try to do so sparingly as it might seem repetitive to the interviewer and unintentionally take the focus off of your answer if you overuse that strategy with each response.
