The interviewer will likely know your educational background from your resume. What they are asking is for you to take a few minutes to bring the experience to life for them! You can mention your major, why you chose it, and any special academic recognition you received. Describe where you went to college and when you graduated. Discuss the strengths gained during your post-secondary training and how those skills will be used in your new position with Adyen.

"I recently completed my Diploma in Information Technology. I also have many on-the-job training and certifications, all listed on my resume. One of the biggest takeaways from my post-secondary experience was learning how to successfully manage my time while working on multiple projects. I perfected my multi-tasking skills and look forward to bringing those to work for Adyen."

For my bachelor's, I studied sociology. I really enjoyed it and tried to do more than was needed. I was a member of a market research student organization, and I also did a field research internship. I liked statistics, SPSS, and quantitative research in general. At the end of the three years, I felt like it was not what I want to do. A lot of things we did were too theoretical and never put to practice. I had a break where I took the time to reevaluate what I want to do. I got interested in data science but didn't want to throw away the three years of working towards my bachelor's. I found a master's program that uses technical data science in combination with real-world applications. This was exactly what I wanted to do. I got so into data science that I took many more courses than were required and did a lot of online courses in my spare time. You can also see that reflected in my GPA. For my master thesis, I began working on a project, but in October, I received an email from my supervisor about an opportunity at a well known company. This meant that I would have to extend my studies by another six months. I think it was an excellent decision and it also allowed me to take an additional three courses. Now I'm finishing my master's, and I have a high chance of receiving summa cum laude.
