Adyen specializes in payment technology that allows businesses to accept e-commerce, mobile, and point-of-sale payments. When interviewing candidates, Adyen looks for individuals with technical specialties in various areas. Some of the key areas of expertise that they seek include proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and Ruby and experience with database systems like MySQL and PostgreSQL. In addition, Adyen's interviewers also value candidates with experience with cloud technologies, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), as well as those familiar with software development methodologies like Agile and Scrum. Overall, Adyen seeks candidates with a broad range of technical skills who can contribute to their innovative and dynamic team.
Do you have any of these particular skills? Talk to the interviewer about your strengths, while highlighting the technical specialty you excel in. If you can, it's a great idea to highlight particular skills that may be listed on the company's job posting/job description. If there is a related area of interest where you'd like to expand your skills, you can mention those as well.

I always say that I like programming because it's just like solving puzzles. I would say my biggest technical specialty is being able to use code as a tool to answer questions or solve problems. I co-developed a tool that automated customer profiling as a way to address the problem other teammates had. I think that could be useful in the position you're offering.

Rachelle's Feedback
Your answer is very well balanced - this is great. You discuss your specialty, give a clear example, and include a final positioning statement. Well done!
